- 500g of firm flesh potatoes,
- 40g of butter,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 Mont d’Or,
- fresh cream
- salt and pepper
Preheat the oven at 180°.
Cook the potatoes halfway through. Peel them and cut them into slices.
Chop the garlic cloves. Butter a 25 cm diameter round gratin dish.
Place the potato slices in the bottom of the dish. Season with salt and pepper. Disperse the chopped garlic on top and cover with cheese cut into pieces and the rind removed.
Bake and serve as soon as the cheese is melted. Serve with a green salad and if you want a bowl of good cream of raw milk salted and flavoured with chives.
